Best Analytics Automation Platforms (2026): Top 9 Compared
An analytics automation platform lets analysts build a repeatable workflow that collects data, cleans and blends it, runs calculations or models, and delivers a report, dataset or alert on a schedule or trigger. The nine products below reach that goal from different starting points. Alteryx One, KNIME, Savant and EasyMorph are built around visual drag-and-drop workflows. Dataiku extends the same idea into machine learning and AI agents. Qlik Cloud Analytics, Domo and Tellius start from analytics and dashboards and add automation layers on top. Mammoth Analytics targets smaller teams that want cleaned data and published dashboards without writing SQL. Prices range from free desktop editions at KNIME and EasyMorph to quote-only enterprise contracts, and the billing measure differs widely: users, automation runs, execution credits, data volume, server memory or consumption credits.

These comparisons draw on public product information, not hands-on testing of every tool. Source records identify available references and checks; missing evidence is marked. Buyer fit is an editorial assessment, not a measured performance score. How to use this research.
Analytics automation platforms turn recurring data work into workflows that run on their own. An analyst connects sources, defines cleaning, blending and calculation steps once, and the platform repeats them on a schedule or trigger to deliver a report, dataset, dashboard or alert. The category grew out of desktop data preparation tools and now includes cloud services, server scheduling and AI agents that build or run workflows from plain-language requests.
The comparison below covers nine products. Features and pricing come from each vendor’s product and pricing pages, checked in October 2026. Six publish at least one price, and three quote on request. The main differences are where workflows run, who is billed (builders, all users or nobody), and which usage measure drives cost.
Related pages cover business intelligence tools, predictive analytics tools, ETL tools and decision intelligence platforms.
Vendor details and trade-offs
Alteryx sells its product as Alteryx One, a platform that unifies data preparation, analytics and AI workflows. Its pricing page lists three editions. Starter covers code-free cloud data preparation for individual analysts and small teams: blending, transforming, joining and aggregating data from CSV, Excel and JSON files, and sharing the resulting workflows. Professional adds desktop as well as cloud design, macros and geospatial preparation, cloud scheduling, AI assistance, automated insights and reporting, and connections to more than 100 sources such as Snowflake and Databricks. Enterprise adds API-triggered scheduling and monitoring, enterprise governance, analytic apps, private data handling and free viewer licences.
Alteryx states that buyers choose an edition, assign basic or full user roles, and then size automation-run capacity. The comparison table shows 50 runs included with Professional and 15,000 with Enterprise. The Summer 2026 release added Agent Studio, which turns business logic and data into conversational agents, and an MCP server so other AI tools can call Alteryx workflows. Alteryx Server remains part of the Enterprise edition.

KNIME describes its Analytics Platform as open and free, with coding optional. Users build workflows by connecting nodes on a visual canvas and can add Python or other scripts where needed. A generative AI assistant, K-AI, can generate workflow steps, scripts and visualisations. The desktop product carries no licence fee, which makes KNIME one of two products on this page with a free desktop edition.
Paid plans cover what the desktop does not: running workflows on a schedule, collaborating in a shared space and delivering results to people who do not use KNIME. The Pro plan costs €19 a month and includes 120 credits and 500 K-AI interactions. The Team plan starts at €99 a month for 3 seats and 120 credits, and lets teams deploy workflows as data apps. Credits cost €0.025 each, and a context consumes 1 to 8 credits a minute depending on its size. The Team page lists automated data integration, data cleaning and reporting as common uses.
For larger organisations, KNIME Business Hub adds governance and control features and is sold on capacity through a quote. KNIME states that it does not license by seat.

Tellius describes its platform as AI-powered analytics for any person, any data and any question. Its AI agent, Kaiya, answers questions in natural language and runs what Tellius calls missions: recurring investigations that a team configures with an objective, knowledge sources, steps, triggers, a schedule and outputs. Specialist agents handle SQL, statistical analysis, ranking and synthesis, and Kaiya coordinates them into one brief.
Agents reason over a governed semantic layer that holds metrics, entity relationships and access rules, so a changed definition applies to every agent at once. Tellius states that agents come prepared for pharma, consumer goods, FP&A and revenue operations, including price-volume-mix analysis.
The pricing page lists two customised tiers. Premium covers up to 10 users with guided insights, search-driven visualisation, data preparation, 10 GB of storage and live pushdown queries to a cloud warehouse. Frequently asked questions
What is an analytics automation platform?
An analytics automation platform lets analysts build repeatable workflows that collect data from several sources, clean and blend it, apply calculations or models and deliver an output on a schedule or trigger. Outputs include reports, datasets, dashboards, alerts and updates to other systems. The aim is to replace manual spreadsheet routines with documented workflows that run without someone repeating the steps.
How is analytics automation different from ETL?
ETL tools move data from sources into a warehouse or lake, usually under a data engineering team. Analytics automation platforms are built for analysts and business users and cover the analysis and delivery steps as well, such as calculations, reports and alerts. Some overlap exists: Domo and EasyMorph include ETL-style pipelines. Pipeline-focused tools are compared on the ETL tools page.
How is analytics automation different from business intelligence?
Business intelligence tools focus on dashboards and interactive analysis. Analytics automation focuses on the repeatable workflow that prepares data and produces outputs without manual steps. Qlik Cloud Analytics, Domo and Tellius combine both. Dashboard-first products are compared on the business intelligence tools page.
How much do analytics automation platforms cost?
As of October 2026, KNIME Analytics Platform, EasyMorph Desktop and Mammoth's Free plan cost nothing. Paid entry points include Mammoth Starter at $39 a month billed annually, KNIME Pro at €19 a month, EasyMorph Professional at $900 a year, Alteryx Starter at $250 per user a month billed annually, Qlik Starter from $300 a month and Savant Pro from $3,000 a year. Dataiku, Domo and Tellius quote on request.
Which analytics automation platforms are free?
KNIME Analytics Platform is free and open. EasyMorph Desktop has a free edition with no time limit and no cap on runs or data volume. Mammoth has a free plan with one builder and three dashboards. Dataiku offers a downloadable Free Edition and a 14-day cloud trial. Alteryx, Domo and Tellius offer 30-day trials rather than free editions.
What is an automation run or production run?
Several vendors bill by workflow executions. Savant counts a production run each time a workflow executes in a live environment and does not bill development or test runs. Alteryx One includes 50 automation runs in Professional and 15,000 in Enterprise, with more available to buy. KNIME's hosted plans bill execution time in credits per minute instead of counting runs.
Do analytics automation platforms use AI agents?
Most now do. Alteryx One added Agent Studio and an MCP server, Dataiku has an Agent Hub, Tellius runs Kaiya agent missions, Savant has AI agents and a Vision Agent, Qlik has an Automate agent in Qlik Answers, and Mammoth offers an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT. Buyers should check how each product logs agent actions and applies data permissions.
How were these analytics automation platforms selected and checked?
The nine products are real vendors whose own pages describe workflow-based data preparation, analytics and automation. Features and pricing come from each vendor's product and pricing pages, checked on 27 October 2026. Vendors whose pages could not be checked or that fell outside the category were left out.
